| Basic Open Water |
| We believe that you take this course to become a safe, competent diver and that's just what we deliver. Our course differs from most others, since we teach in small group sessions, 4-6 students per Instructor being our largest class. Our extensive teaching experience has taught us that Scuba diving is best-learned nearly one-on-one, instructor to student ratios. This ensures that all the required skills are acquired correctly and completely, with an instructor right there at all times to gently nudge you in the right direction. PADI programs are performance based. You proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills. This allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you. Of course, our instruction costs a little more, but we believe in delivering you a lot more for your money! Just look at what you receive in our course: Small class size ensures you get the attention YOU need.... not what serves for an entire class. Mistakes are corrected immediately, so bad habits never have a chance of becoming ingrained from the start. With such small classes you receive 2-3 times the in-water practice time of other courses. This additional practice, or development, time results in skills becoming better learned and more innate, rather than being only introduced to you. Again, this results in your being a more competent diver from the start. All of your pool training is conducted in a crystal-clear, ideal depth pool, located in Carbonear or Bay Roberts. All classroom instruction is held in a large, airy boardroom with VCR's, chalkboards, and dozens of training aids. The course consists of approximately 10-12 hours of classroom training, 10-12 hours of pool training and 4 ocean open water dives. We supply all the equipment you require for the duration of the course, with the exception of your personal items (mask, fins, snorkel, boots & gloves),there are no additional or hidden costs! Upon completion of your course you will receive a PADI Manual, a PADI ID card, wall certificate, Recreational Dive Planner (RDP), Log Book and Sew-on Patch Emblem. Our course is designed to give you the very best of facilities, staff and training. We never discount our courses because.... our present price is the best price we can offer you for the services we provide. We are strong believers in the old adage "you only get what you pay for"! Course costs: $450.00 + Tax (Private Course $570.18 + Tax) Requirements: (2) passport type photos. Scheduling: We appreciate that your time is valuable, so we try our utmost to accommodate your needs. Our course is 2 nights per week for 3 weeks and consists of 2 hours classroom followed by 2 hours of pool training. So give us a call, and get started on your road to excitement and adventure! We guarantee...YOU WILL HAVE FUN! |
| Advanced Open Water |
| "ADVANCED" is really a misnomer for this course since it does not, in itself, make you an advanced diver. What the course does do... is advance your knowledge and experience beyond the Open Water level, with the presence of an instructor during all your dives. The course allows you to continue your SCUBA training in safe, guided experiences, while learning the fundamentals of Navigation, Deep, Wreck, Drysuit, Night, Boat, Multi-level and Search and Recovery diving. This training and experience are invaluable during the early stages of your diving experience, while your personal diving skills are being developed.
